Remediation Services Project Portfolio
5 Wing Goose Bay Project Located in Happy Valley, Goose Bay Newfoundland (NL)
SCG Industries has designed, installed
and is currently operating numerous remediation units for a large
scale remediation project at 5 Wing Goose Bay.
SCG is using multiphase extraction (MPE) technology to extract and treat various petroleum hydrocarbons, including aviation gas and jet fuel.
Despite the challenging sub-acrtic climate, and depths to product of over 15 m SCG has been successfully operating extraction units in Goose Bay since 2008.

Cassidy Lake Project Located in Clover Hill, New Brunswick (NB)
SCG
Industries is currently supplying a
vacuum/de-watering barrier well system to prevent briny water from
a tailings pond from entering an adjacent river.

Colomac Mine Project Located in Colomac, Northwest Territories (NT)
SCG Industries has provided
consultation and operation services for petroleum extraction as
part of a large scale remediation project located at a
decommissioned gold mine in Colomac, Northwest
Territories.
The Colomac Mine remediation project has provided SCG with an opportunity to work in a rare and challenging northern locale, which is subject to large fluctuations in groundwater levels, highly variable fractured bedrock, and permafrost.

Wallagrass Gasoline Extraction Project Located in Wallagrass, Maine (ME)
SCG Industries was contracted to
design and supply two groundwater/surface water control systems
coupled with soil vapor extraction (SVE) systems.
The system was installed to remediate a 30,000 litre gasoline spill in Wallagrass, Maine. SCG constructed and commissioned the systems, each designed to handle liquid flow rates of 60 gpm and vacuum air flow rates of 450 cfm.
SCG was also contracted to install all subsurface piping and well connections at the site that is adjacent to a highway. SCG is also working hand-in-hand with the environmental consultant and Maine Department of Environmental Protection to ensure an efficient cleanup that meets all environmental remediation criteria.

Fort Drum Military Base Project Located in Jefferson County, New York (NY)
SCG designed and supplied multiple
Sparge/MPE systems for product recovery at a former refueling
station at Fort Drum.
This project was designed to extract large volumes of free phase hydrocarbon from impacted soil located in an area with groundwater depths of approximately 10 m and an extreme winter climate (average annual snowfall of 4+ m)
