Operate and Maintain Remedial Systems

System operational effectiveness is typically measured as runtime.  As most of us in the business of operating equipment understand, runtime is easily achieved when systems are not working at full capacity.  The art of operational effectiveness is achieving high runtimes (> 90%) while still maximizing the effectiveness of the remediation process and equipment.

5 Wing Goose Bay
Happy Valley - Goose Bay, Newfoundland & Labrador

SCG Industries has designed, installed and is currently operating numerous remediation units for a large scale remediation project at 5 Wing Goose Bay. SCG is using multiphase extraction (MPE) technologies to extract and treat various petroleum hydrocarbons, including aviation gas, diesel, gasoline, and fuel oil.

SCG has been successfully operating extraction units in Goose Bay since 2008 despite the unique and challenging aspects of working in this type of geology (5 Wing is located on a large sand deposit) and the harsh climate of this northern environment.
